Immediately puts the film into perspective via colours. E.g dark and grey colours are used which foreshadows something negative is going to happen 
The title font is also a good indicator to genre as its  Metallic, Silver, and Futuristic which is commonly used and associated with science fiction films 
The purpose of the sequence is to introduce genre and location alongside creating enigma for the audience as there is no characters introduced

Chase Scene - Similar to action scene it also catches the audiences attention, they remain eager to see what happens after the chase
The way different characters are portrayed gives insight into the storyline of the film for example the mise-en-scene.
