My film is to do man who has left his house to go and see his best friend before he spots a mysterious box in the middle of a footpath where he opens it and finds a life changing discovery. The intended effect of my film is to create mystery build tension and suspense through the likes of quick editing and non dietetic sounds

A guy who is on his way to his friends house going about his day normally until there is an rather unexpected random twist as he find a mysterious box with a message in it which appears to be a life changing discovery, what follows is truly astonishing

(I conducted a focus group to help me choose my font. I showed 10 students at my college 5 fonts and asked them to give each font a rating out of 10 based on their opinion on the quality. Below are the results of the questionnaire shown on a bar chart. After doing some careful research in my genre I have compiled a list of my chosen font and all the fonts that I could of potentially used in my opening sequence. In the end the font I decided to use was Trajan pro as it was best suited to my film idea/genre. One way that helped me decide on this was conducting a focus group at my college. Using Trajan Pro is a suitable font to use because it goes with my genre as it creates a sense of mystery and emphasises the nature of my film. When conducting my research I found that a strong convention in phycological was how the title has an illusive effect on the audience

Shutter Island Opening Sequence  The soundtrack creates tension The titles appear over dark locations that are shown in the sequence which tells a story and adds mystery which fits into some of the conventions of a physcological thriller  The titles allows acknowledgement of director, producer, writers, and main characters   The way the title fade in and out also  adds mystery  The is a pause of music and blackout before the (main) title 'shutter island' appears which builds suspense and tension  There is also a notable change to red as the main title 'shutter island' appears. After conducting some research i have decided that BLUMHOUSE PRODUCTIONS would be an appropriate production company for my film. Blumhouse is known for producing low budget films. This is particularly appealing as my film is very low budget which of cause means that it will be a realistic production company to use.  Blum house is also commonly used in Psychological thrillers this will give my film a more authentic feel to it as people who watch psychological thriller films would recognise the production company straight away I have also decided to use STX entertainment as a production company for my film after gathering some information from my research STX Entertainment is an american entertainment and media company that creates, produces, distributes, fiances and markets films.
